Departure from Kathmandu
Prepare for your departure from Kathmandu. Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Farewell and safe travels!
Character:
Following in the footsteps of the first climbers of Mount Everest, you will travel along ancient trade routes in the land of the Sherpa. You will trek from lodge to lodge with experienced local Sherpa guides. The lodges are beautifully located and built according to traditional principles. They offer double rooms with a very good standard, comparable to simple mountain huts in the Alps. You will also be well catered for, ensuring you have nothing to worry about throughout the trek. Your Sherpa companions will take care of your luggage and your well-being. You will trek through idyllic Sherpa villages, past isolated monasteries, always against the magnificent backdrop of the Himalayas, with unique views of Mt. Everest.
After proper acclimatization, our trek takes you over the Renjo La Pass (5,360m) to Gokyo Ri (5,357m). The view from Gokyo Ri, a technically easy 5,000-meter peak, is unique and considered the best viewpoint in the entire Khumbu region. From the Gokyo Valley, you will cross the Cho La Pass (5,370m) into the valley leading to Mount Everest (8,848m). From there, you have the opportunity to summit Kalar Pattar (5,550m), bringing you very close to the highest mountain on Earth! The mountain views are spectacular, with the Khumbu Icefall, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Mt. Everest within reach. The views of an amphitheater of 6,000m and 7,000m peaks, as well as the Lhotse South Face, are truly unique and unforgettable.
Look forward to incredible days surrounded by friendly people and a unique natural force. A dream and highlight for every mountain lover.
